#100: Axe Drop #0100 Title: This one means something

When I started writing these Axe Drops, I didn’t realize how much they would teach me about myself. I didn’t realize how much growth would come from putting my thoughts, scars, lessons, failures, victories, and hard-earned truths into words.
But here I am.
One hundred Axe Drops later.
Still standing.
Still learning.
Still growing.
Still sober.
Still building.
Still becoming.
And one of the biggest lessons I have learned is this:
The past does not define me.
I cannot change what happened.
I cannot rewrite the chapters that already closed.
I cannot control what people believe about the old version of me.
And honestly, I do not need to.
Because I know who I am becoming.
I do not dwell on yesterday anymore. I learn from it. I take what it taught me, I leave what tried to break me, and I keep moving forward.
The future is not fully in my hands either. I can plan. I can hope. I can fight for better. I can build with everything I have. But I refuse to waste today worrying about a tomorrow that has not arrived yet.
All I truly have is today.
Today, I can choose growth.
Today, I can choose discipline.
Today, I can choose peace.
Today, I can choose sobriety.
Today, I can choose to be a better man than I was yesterday.
Some people from my past will never see the work I have done. They will never understand the man I have become. They will never witness the strength, the healing, the accountability, or the growth.
And that is their loss, not mine.
I will not give up.
I will not go backward.
I will not become bitter.
I will stay true to myself.
I am getting stronger every single day.
Today is also Day 298 of sobriety.
That number means more to me than most people will ever understand. It represents battles nobody saw, choices nobody clapped for, and moments where giving up would have been easier.
But I did not give up.
One day at a time.
One choice at a time.
One hard moment at a time.
And I did not walk those 298 days alone.
I need to recognize Pa’razzi.
Brother, you spoke to me daily through every one of these 298 days of sobriety.
Every damn day.
That is more than checking in.
That is more than saying, “I am here if you need me.”
That is walking the journey with me every damn step of the way.
That kind of loyalty, consistency, and presence is rare. You stood beside me on days when the road was heavy. You reminded me I was not alone. You helped me keep moving when I needed that reminder most.
I will never forget that.
I also need to recognize Ynot.
Thank you for never giving up on me.
During my hiatus and during my return, you guided me with good counsel, honesty, patience, and wisdom. You helped me find my way back when I needed direction. You did not turn your back on me when it would have been easier to let me figure it out alone.
That matters more than I can fully put into words.
Without the people who stood beside me, believed in me, checked on me, and refused to let me disappear into my own darkness, I honestly do not know where I would be right now.
I am thankful for the people in my life now who see me, believe in me, appreciate me, and accept me for who I am today. Not who I was. Not who others said I was. But the man standing here now.
For those people, I will not let myself down.
I will not let them down.
And I will not let anyone take the future I am building.
I have fought too hard to get here. I have lost too much, learned too much, and rebuilt too much to hand my future over to anyone who wants to see me fail.
Some people want to take what I am building.
Some people want to take my peace.
Some people want to take my name.
Some people want to take my work, my progress, my purpose, and my future.
That will never happen.
Because what I am building was not handed to me.
RavenAxe was built out of silence, struggle, vision, and fire.
It was built from the parts of me that refused to quit. It was built for riders, for connection, for brotherhood, for community, and for people who know what it means to carry scars and still keep moving.
RavenAxe is more than a platform to me.
It is proof that I still have purpose.
It is proof that my future is not finished.
It is proof that I can take pain and turn it into something meaningful.
It is proof that I can build something bigger than what tried to break me.
RavenAxe is part of my comeback.
And I am just getting started.
I will keep looking forward.
I will keep learning.
I will keep growing.
I will keep building RavenAxe.
I will keep sharing what I have lived through, because maybe something I say will help someone else who is fighting their own battle in silence.
Axe Drop 0100 is not the finish line.
It is proof.
Proof that growth is real.
Proof that change is possible.
Proof that sobriety is possible.
Proof that loyalty still exists.
Proof that purpose can be rebuilt.
Proof that the past only wins if you stop moving forward.
And I am not stopping.
Built in silence.
Forged through struggle.
Still standing.
Still sober.
Still building.
Still becoming.
