Axe Drop #0026 Title: OATHS ARE FOREVER
Brotherhood gets talked about a lot. But not everybody understands what it really means. Brotherhood is not just riding together. It is not just wearing the same patch. It is not just showing up when things are easy. Brotherhood is an oath. And an oath is not supposed to change with convenience. A lot of men act like their word only matters when everything is clean, smooth, and comfortable. But that is not what an oath is. An oath means you gave your word. Not for a season. Not until somebody screws up. Not until leadership changes. Not until feelings get hurt. Forever. So what happens when one of your brothers does something stupid and gets himself thrown out? What happens when he ends up in bad standing? What happens when he puts on another patch? What happens if you leave the club yourself? Does that erase your word? Does that undo the oath you took? I do not believe it does. Your oath to your club is sacred. Your oath to your brothers is sacred. That means your word still matters, even when the road gets ugly. Now that does not mean you excuse bad behavior. It does not mean you back stupidity. It does not mean you betray your club. But it does mean this: You do not become a dishonorable man just because somebody else did. You do not throw your word away just because the situation got messy. You do not suddenly act like your oath meant nothing because the patch changed. A man’s character shows when things fall apart. Anybody can talk loyalty when everybody is smiling. Anybody can shout brotherhood when the clubhouse is full and the beer is cold. But real honor shows up when it costs you something. Brotherhood means your word has weight. It means your loyalty is not fake. It means you remember the promises you made when you stood there and gave your oath. That is why oaths should never be taken lightly. Do not make one just because it sounds good. Do not make one because you want to belong. Do not make one unless you fully understand what it is going to demand from you. Because once you give your word, it is supposed to mean something. And if it does not, then it was never an oath to begin with. Brotherhood is not temporary. Honor is not temporary. An oath is not temporary. If you are going to take one, make damn sure you are built to carry it for life. “Built in silence. Forged for riders.” -Axe🪓 Founder RavenAxe
