Axe Drop #0027 Title: GOOD FRIDAY
Good Friday is not soft. It is not polished. It is not comfortable. It is blood. It is sacrifice. It is betrayal. It is pain carried all the way to the end. That is what makes it matter. A lot of people want the miracle. A lot of people want the victory. A lot of people want the empty tomb. But before all that came the cross. Before the rising came the suffering. Before the hope came the agony. Before the promise was fulfilled, the price had to be paid. That is what Good Friday reminds me of. It reminds me that real love is not cheap. Real love bleeds. Real love stays. Real love carries the weight even when it hurts beyond words. A man who has lived any kind of life knows something about pain. He knows what it means to carry guilt. He knows what it means to drag old scars behind him. He knows what it means to keep moving with more weight on his shoulders than anybody else can see. Good Friday speaks to that. It is the reminder that sacrifice was not weakness. Enduring was not weakness. Choosing love in the face of cruelty was not weakness. That was strength greater than most men will ever understand. So today is not just about mourning. It is about respect. Respect for what was endured. Respect for what was carried. Respect for the fact that mercy was given when none of us earned it. Good Friday is heavy. It is supposed to be. Because if you ever forget the cost, you start treating grace like it was free. It was not free. It was paid for in full. So be still today. Take the noise down. Think about sacrifice. Think about what it means to hold the line when pain would break most people. And remember this: The cross was ugly. The suffering was real. The silence was heavy. But none of it was meaningless. “Built in silence. Forged for riders.” -Axe🪓 Founder RavenAxe
