Axe Drop #0008 Title: SECOND SHOT
Life has a way of hardening people. Not because they were born cold. Not because they wanted to be distant. But because somewhere along the way, survival taught them to build walls. Some of us learned early that trust comes with a price. That letting people in can end with scars. That honesty can feel more dangerous than silence. So we adapt. We shield up. We carry the weight. We convince ourselves that staying guarded is the only way to make it through. But hear me on this. It is never too late for a second chance at life. Never too late to stop surviving and start healing. Never too late to put down what you were never meant to carry forever. Never too late to be honest about who you are, what shaped you, and what you still need. That first step is the hardest one. Honesty. Trust. Letting somebody see the real you. That step feels heavy because it is. It asks you to lower the shield. It asks you to believe that not everybody came to hurt you. It asks you to take a chance when your whole life may have trained you not to. But once that first step is taken, the rest start getting lighter. Not easier because life suddenly gets soft. Easier because truth quits fighting you from the inside. Because when you stop hiding, you stop carrying two battles at once. Yes, trust can backfire. Yes, walls can go back up. And yes, every time somebody betrays that trust, it gets harder to open that door again. But that does not mean the door stays closed forever. Take the step. Take it slow. Hold space for the people trying to love you right. Hold space for yourself too. A second chance does not begin when the world forgives you. It begins when you are finally honest enough to let healing in.💜 “Built in silence. Forged for riders.” -Axe🪓 Founder RavenAxe
