Today is bigger than tradition. Bigger than gatherings. Bigger than food, family, and all the noise that usually comes with a holiday. Today is about sacrifice. Today is about pain. Today is about mercy. Today is about the fact that even after betrayal, brutality, and death... He rose. That matters. Because a lot of us know what it feels like to carry weight. To carry regret. To carry shame. To carry scars nobody else can see. A lot of men walk around looking strong while they are bleeding inside. Easter is a reminder that darkness does not get the final word. Pain does not get the final word. The grave does not get the final word. There is still hope. There is still purpose. There is still something waiting on the other side of the worst day of your life. That is what resurrection means to me. It means what looked finished was not finished. What looked buried was not gone. What looked broken was not beyond repair. Some of you needed that reminder today. Maybe your faith has been shaky. Maybe life has hit hard. Maybe you have been running on fumes for a long time. Maybe you are smiling in public and fighting hell in private. Keep going. There is power in getting back up. There is strength in holding the line. There is something holy about refusing to stay buried by the weight of this world. Easter is not weakness. It is not softness. It is proof that sacrifice means something. It is proof that love can bleed. And it is proof that death does not win. So today, be grateful. Be still for a minute. Remember what was given. Remember what was endured.
